The Propeller Club honors the “Toothpick” propeller invented by the brothers in 1915. The “Toothpick” was utilized in WWI planes and was so significant to aviation history that it now stands in the Smithsonian.
In 1921, the Frostifugo, another Jacuzzi brothers’ invention, was produced and is the inspiration for our second club. The revolutionary crop defroster was designed to blow air to keep the chill off grapevines and fruit orchards.
In 1930, the Jacuzzi brothers displayed their injector ("jet") pumps at the California State Fair and were awarded a gold medal by the California Agricultural Society for "Meritorious Invention."
